Doris Cooper Consulting LLC - The Small Business Help Desk is proud to offer QuickBooks at Sea Take a 5 day / 4 night cruise from Tampa, Florida on Carnival Inspiration and learn to use QuickBooks while at sea. The next cruise is planned for October 15, 2009. Itinerary: Thursday Set sail on the Carnival Inspiration at approximately 4 PM Friday Day at Sea 9 AM – 11 AM Session 1: QuickBooks overview, Getting around in QuickBooks, All the accounting you need to know and Creating a company in QuickBooks (see Overview Page) 2 PM – 4 PM Session 2: Working with Lists and Working with Bank Accounts (see Overview Page) Saturday Cozumel, Mexico Sunday Day at Sea 9 AM – 11 AM Session 3: Using other Accounts in QuickBooks and Entering Sales Information (see Overview Page) 2 PM – 4 PM Session 4: Receiving Payments and making deposits and Entering and paying bills (see Overview Page) Monday Back in Tampa, Florida (early morning) This course is designed for clients who are new to QuickBooks and would like to learn the basics. Requirements for Participation: A willingness to learn. No knowledge of finances or accounting is needed to use QuickBooks. Participants should, however, have a basic knowledge of the computer operating system and know how to move files around, create folders or directories, copy files to and from disks, and run applications. The instructor (a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor) will be available after each session to answer specific questions. Participation in the course is limited to 10 - 15 participants - booking early will assure you a space in the class. Cost of the course is $185.00 per person. The cost of the cruise and any transportation to and from the Port of Tampa are separate. Inside Staterooms start at $326.11 incl. tax, port charges, meals, entertainment and activities on board per person – other staterooms are available at additional costs. Payment to be made as follows: Course fee is due at time of booking A $25.00 cruise deposit is due at time of booking, another $125 due on June 12th, and the remainder on August 14th. Guest / Spouses / Children may book a cruise only. Travel Insurance is available @ $49.00 per person. Please note: Business owners may offset the cost of the course and cruise against taxes. Consult your tax professional with questions. IMPORTANT: You must have a valid passport. All guests must present the required documentation at embarkation. Guests without the required documentation will be denied boarding and no refund will be issued. Please understand that Carnival will strictly enforce this requirement to be in compliance with important U.S. Government mandates. The course costs are payable upon booking.
